Corner / Fillet Welding Carriage — JJ & GJ Series

No track needed — rubber-wheel (JJ) and magnetic steel-wheel (GJ) models walk directly along the corner joint. Dual-torch versions weld both sides of the fillet in a single pass, covering 400–800 mm welds.

Also known as: fillet welding carriage, corner welding tractor, automatic fillet welding machine.

Ride the Corner. Double the Torch.

Made for steel structure fabrication: H-beams, box beams and welded frames. The carriage walks the corner joint directly — no track needed — with single-torch and dual-torch models covering fillet welds from 400 to 800 mm.

  • Ideal for steel structures, H-beams, box beams and frames
  • Walks the fillet joint directly — rubber-wheel (JJ) and magnetic steel-wheel (GJ) drive
  • Dual-torch versions weld two seams in one pass (400–800 mm range)
  • Swing width 0–32 mm, swing angle 0–30°
  • Intermittent welding supported on single-torch models

Values are taken from the product operation manual. Custom configurations — track length, torch fixture, dual-torch setup, expanding-head size — are quoted to your workpiece.

Naming guide: JJ-III-Q1 = rubber-wheel corner welding · GJ-III-Q1 = steel-wheel corner welding · "Z-W" = straight swing, "J-W" = angle swing · Q2 = dual-torch version · "/W-W" = non-oscillating entry model with fixed torch.

CZ-III-Q1/J-W side-mount version carries the torch beside the carriage body — it reaches corner joints where the carriage cannot sit directly over the seam.

FAQ

Questions Engineers Ask About This Machine

Does the fillet carriage need a track?
No. The JJ rubber-wheel carriage carries permanent magnets inside the wheel assembly and runs directly on the workpiece. It is the fastest machine to reposition in a structural shop — no rails, no clamps, no scaffolding. It does require magnetically permeable material (carbon steel, Cr-Mo steel, low-alloy steel).
How wide a fillet can a dual-torch model cover?
Dual-torch versions (Q2) weld both fillets of a beam simultaneously and cover web-to-flange fillet widths from 400 to 800 mm. One pass does what used to take two setups, and both sides get the same parameters — the usual reason fabricators move to a dual-torch machine.
Will the magnets affect my weld quality?
No. The magnet structure and pole arrangement are designed so the magnetic field does not influence the arc or the weld. The wheels keep full magnet strength below 300 °C, so there is no fade from heat during normal production. Magnetism also means no wear parts to replace like a belt or rail.
Can it weld stainless steel, or run TIG and plasma?
For non-magnetically-permeable material such as stainless steel, a matching fixture is required so the carriage has something to grip. All controls use interference-resistant design, and the torch fixture accepts TIG torches, plasma cutting and flame cutting heads — clamp the nozzle in the fixture and go.
What is the minimum workpiece diameter for curved work?
Minimum travelling outer diameter is 3000 mm and minimum travelling inner diameter is 2900 mm, so the carriage works on large shells and vessels as well as flat beams. Welding speed runs 0–990 mm/min and the carriage weighs 9.2 kg.
